Nika Grace Color High-Lift Application Guide

Materials Needed:

  • Nika Grace Color High-Lift Lightener of choice
  • Nika Grace Activator (30 or 40 vol, depending on the desired lift)
  • Non-metallic mixing bowl
  • Hair color brush
  • Gloves
  • Timer
  • Hair clips for sectioning
  • Plastic cap (optional)

  • Wear suitable gloves to protect your hands.
  • Do not wash hair before application; it should be dry and unwashed.
  • Mix the High-Lift Lightener with the Nika Grace Activator in a 1:2 ratio. For example, mix 60 ml of the High-Lift Lightener with 120 ml of the Nika Grace Activator.
    • For 5 levels of lift on base levels 6/7, use 30 vol (9%) Activator.
    • For 5 levels of lift on base levels 5/6, use 40 vol (12%) Activator.

  • Start by dividing the hair into four sections using hair clips for better control.
  • Begin application at the back of the head, moving towards the front, to ensure an even lightening effect.
  • Apply the mixture to the hair strands, avoiding the scalp, starting 1 cm away from the roots if you are looking for an even lightening from root to tip.
  • Ensure that all strands are evenly saturated with the mixture for uniform results.
  • Leave the mixture on for up to 60 minutes, checking periodically for the desired level of lightness.
    • Do not exceed 60 minutes of processing time.

  • Once the desired lift is achieved, thoroughly rinse the hair with warm water.
  • Shampoo gently with a color-safe shampoo to remove any remaining product.
  • Apply a deep conditioning treatment designed for color-treated or lightened hair to replenish moisture and help restore hair's natural pH balance.
  • Rinse out the conditioner thoroughly and style as desired.

Post-Treatment Advice:

  • Avoid washing your hair for at least 48 hours after the treatment to allow the color to set.
  • Use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner designed for color-treated hair to maintain the brightness and integrity of the blonde tones.
  • Regular deep conditioning treatments are recommended to keep the hair hydrated and healthy.
  • Limit the use of hot styling tools to prevent further damage to lightened hair. If using, apply a heat protectant product beforehand.
  • Consider using a toner or purple shampoo periodically to maintain the desired blonde shade and counteract any brassy tones.
