Nika Blondeness Application Guide

Objective: Lightening up to 9 or 7 levels, advanced hair protection

Phase 1: Preparation

  1. Hair Assessment:

    • Assess the hair structure, health, and the desired result (gentle or extreme lightening).
    • Decide whether to use Blondeness UP to 9 for extreme lightening or Blondeness UP to 7 for gentler lightening.

  2. Scalp Protection:

    • Apply a protective barrier to the scalp, especially when using Blondeness UP to 9. For delicate or sensitive applications, use Blondeness UP to 7, which is ammonia-free.

Phase 2: Mixing

  1. Mixing Ratio:

    • Blondeness UP to 9: Mix in a 1:1.5 or 1:2 ratio with the activator (developer).
    • Blondeness UP to 7: Mix in a 1:1.5 or 1:2 ratio with the activator (developer).

  2. Activator (Developer):

    • Choose the volume of the activator depending on the desired lightening:
      • 20 Volumes: Gentle lightening up to 7 levels.
      • 30 Volumes: Moderate lightening up to 8 levels.
      • 40 Volumes: Intense lightening up to 9 levels (only for Blondeness UP to 9).

Phase 3: Application

  1. Lightening Techniques:

    • For free-hand techniques like balayage, use Blondeness UP to 9. Apply the mixture to dry hair, avoiding the scalp.
    • For on-scalp applications or gentle lightening, use Blondeness UP to 7. Ideal for controlled lightening, like root touch-ups or sensitive scalps.

  2. Distribution:

    • Apply the mixture evenly on the hair, focusing on the areas needing the most lightening.

Phase 4: Processing Time

  1. Monitor Lightening:
    • Check the hair every 5-10 minutes to monitor the lightening process and the condition of the hair.
  2. Processing Time:
    • Blondeness UP to 9: Leave on for up to 45 minutes, depending on the desired lightening level.
    • Blondeness UP to 7: Leave on for 35-45 minutes, depending on the desired lightening level and hair sensitivity.

Phase 5: Rinse and Aftercare

  1. Rinse:
    • Rinse the hair thoroughly with lukewarm water until all the product is removed.
  2. Shampoo and Conditioner:
    • Use Absolute Shine Blonde Shampoo to gently cleanse the hair and neutralize unwanted tones.
    • Follow with Deep Conditioner Absolute Shine Blonde to nourish and restore softness to the hair.
  3. Leave-In Treatment:
    • Apply Diamonds Bright Blonde Leave-in Treatment to protect the hair, seal in cool tones, and add shine.

Phase 6: Finishing

  1. Drying:
    • Proceed with drying and styling as desired. For extremely damaged hair, avoid excessive heat.
  2. Final Check:
    • Ensure the hair appears healthy, shiny, and soft. If needed, apply an additional moisturizing or restructuring treatment.

Warnings:

  • Avoid using Blondeness UP to 9 on excessively damaged or fragile hair.
  • Do not leave the product on longer than the recommended time.
  • Always use post-treatment products from the Frozen Blonde line to maintain salon-quality results at home.
